As a real estate agent one of the hardest things in the business is figuring out where your next client will come from. It might be THE hardest in fact. Finding leads can be a major source of stress for most real estate agents. This was the case for me until I decided to create a niche for my real estate business.Â
After struggling through my own divorce to understand the complexity of real estate transactions when two people are separating assets, I realized that I could make a difference for others going through this process AND create a more steady stream of clients if I shifted my own real estate business to focus on divorce. I became a Certified Divorce Success Coach and created a network of referral partners. I still can't believe that specializing in this area of real estate has done for my business and now I am helping other agents do the same.Â
While focusing on Divorce might feel intimidating, and maybe even a little depressing if we are being totally honest, it is a niche that does not fluctuate like the U.S. economy. In fact, the statistics of how many people get divorced annually make this niche pretty recession-proof.Â
And here is the upside. Many people find freedom in divorce. It doesn't have to a bad thing. Take it from this divorceé! My life is 1000 times better now and even though it wasn't easy, it was 100% the right thing for me. And it is for many, many others too. And those people need a trusted partner. They need to know that their real estate agent has their back and can help them through a difficult process with a little more ease and less stress.Â
When you master the ins and outs of a divorce real estate transaction, you become a valuable asset! Not only does this help you empower your client, but you will feel empowered too. Especially when you build a consistent flow of business and establish a network of partners that keep sending you leads!Â
